Early Life

Born to the noble family of House Chorus, Primam is the first born of a pair of fraternal twins. Growing up, Primam was subject to rather loveless bouts of training as she was prepared and conditioned to become the next Arm of the King alongside her twin brother, Tandem. Despite the rather strict training regimen of their mother, both Primam and Tandem had a more fond familial bond between one another, and supported one another in times of sadness or strife whenever it concerned the harshness of their parents – namely their mother, who held the title of Arm of the King before they were to become as such.

In preparation to become the dual Arms of the King, Primam and Tandem were often made to escort Prince Noctis, even having been enrolled into the same public school setting so that they could remain within 'arm's length.' Luckily, these sessions at school or other public settings offered Primam and her brother some freedoms that were so seldomly found within their home. In time, and because of the long periods of time that Primam and Tandem often had with Prince Noctis, it was not uncommon for them to find in him a presence much like having another brother.

Though Primam was taught to use weaponry, it was later discovered by her that she had a penchant for magic. At first, the magic was discovered after a fight she had with her mother. Shortly having stormed out of the house and hiding away, Primam's tumultuous feelings coalesced into an ice storm that fell over Insomnia, causing quite the stir as it had been the middle of summer when it occurred. Though people called it the 'Wrath of Shiva' as Primam being the cause of it was unknown to just about everyone, Primam had taken the time to start leaning how to control her abilities over magic. If this was what the Crystal willed, then Primam chose to embrace it. The more she practiced in secret, the better she became at it, becoming quite the prodigy in mastering elemental spells and even putting that toward the craft of elemancy.

Once Primam revealed the fact that she could wield magic, and wield it quite well, she was then later encouraged (albeit, forcefully) to use her magic against her brother during training. Noticing that Primam lacked proper protection when it came to close ranged combat, Gladiolus of House Amicitia offered to help get her used to using a weighty mace to protect herself in close range combat – mostly as thanks for looking out for his younger sister, Iris, and teaching her how to better use defense magic. So though Gladiolus had been a sparring partner from time to time for both Primam and Tandem, it was from that point forward that they started becoming more regular sparring partners on the royal grounds.

After graduation, Primam had made plans to have gotten herself ready to attend a rather prestigious university known as the Clara Lux University of Insomnia. However, these plans were rather swiftly canceled, as Primam and Tandem’s mother had other plans for them. With Primam’s educational pursuits dashed, she was rather heartbroken and dejected, meanwhile, her brother attempted everything he could to champion her being able to pursue college, though to no avail.

Primam and Tandem were stripped of their status as Crownsguard and were forced into the Kingsglaive by their mother. Neither of them could fathom the reason, especially since the Glaive were made up of outsiders to Insomnia. Neither of them bought the idea, either, that it was because of their Galahdian ancestry, as that did not seem like a good enough reason at all to have been forced into a more risky position rather than serving as Arms of the King.

During their time among the Kingsglaive, Primam and Tandem were later briefed by Clarus of House Amicitia of why they were there. He and other members of the Lucian Council suspected a rat within their ranks regarding the Kingsglaive and needed Primam and Tandem to find out what they could. Clarus apologized for the secrecy and the sudden shift in their positions, knowing the anger it caused both Primam and her brother. Almost spitefully, Primam wanted to refuse, but she quickly reminded herself that there would have been no point, and acting as Arm of the King would have also meant removing any threats from within the Wall.

Primam did her best to act as a recruit for the Kingsglaive, as did her brother. The thing that managed to uplift her spirits regarding her time there was the fact that Mollis of House Somnium, and both Gladiolus and Iris of House Amicitia were common enough friendly faces to offset the disdain Primam and her brother felt from a majority the Galahdian recruits.

Tandem Chorus

Tandem is Primam’s twin brother, the younger one between the two of them by twenty minutes. The two of them grew up under the same harsh conditions of their mother, really only having solace when it came to preparing for their role as Arm of the King in the company of Prince Noctis. In addition, because of the harsh conditions of their living situation and what was expected of them, Primam and Tandem have a close bond forged from those conditions that make them look out for one another in the best ways they know how.

Noctis Lucis Caelum

Born into duty as future Arm of the King alongside her brother, Tandem, Primam has often spent time with Noctis. This is especially true in the fact that Primam and Tandem were enrolled into the same educational programs as Price Noctis in order to condition them to their role as Arms of the King. Due to being at Prince Noctis' side for a majority of their lives, both Primam and Tandem see Noctis much like a brother to them than simply a friend or as the Prince of Insomnia.

Gladiolus Amicitia

At first, Primam was actually a little intimidated by Gladiolus, especially since he had always been a rather built individual, even when they were younger. As House Amicitia, Shield of the King, Gladiolus was meant to fight for and guard the future king alongside the Arm of the King – in this case, Arms. Primam, Tandem, and Gladiolus were often sparring partners.

Ignis Scientia

Ignis always struck Primam as a bit too kept to himself when they were growing up within the royal grounds. However, it was once Ignis seemed to start displaying his own aptitude for applying elemancy to his fighting style that Primam found her love for elemancy before she even found out that she was gifted with the art of magic.

Iris Amicitia

Gladiolus' baby sister, Primam took a shine to Iris when the two of them first met. More often than not, Primam got to learn about a myriad of cute little toys or television shows thanks to things that Iris was interested in, and had those freedoms to pursue whenever she wanted.

Mollis Somnium

Primam and Mollis met when Primam had to learn how to handle firearms to have that knowledge for later should she ever have needed it. The two of them are relatively close, and Mollis has influenced some of Primam's habits and fashion sense. Once Primam and Tandem had been made into Glaive, however, Mollis was quick to be one of their closer allies, looking out for them and providing for them where she could. This was something that Primam has always appreciated.
