After a scrap with the Garleans, the citizens who the Empire punished for her defiance rallied against her and Sorvi was killed in the ensuing struggle. Alone and with nothing left to lose, she snuck onto a ship bound for Eorzea with only her bow and the clothes on her back. Over time she would learn to see value in him despite him not being a fighter watching how he affected and supported the group. The two would eventually become close friends, Altais's harshness and Akku's gentleness were natural balances to each other and they could each offer advice the other needed to hear. Over time he grew on her though, and as Altais learned to see his worth the two became close friends. Altais is often too harsh and Akku often too gentle so the two often trade advice that balances the other out.
